it’s nothing complicated, if you want an easy to launch shortcut you can look into Termux Widgets and write a shellscript

needs root, but you can just write 0 to the sysfs brightness file (/sys/class/backlight/…/brightness or smth like that)

in addition i wish for stuff like smaller size, LCD instead of AMOLED, no pinchhole/notch. yeah ik that’s impossible these days…

one of my old phones had this feature where you can swipe from a sidebar and quickly access and type notes
i think something similar can be done quite easily on sxmo
i have a xperia xz1c and it runs lineageos, small enough for me.
there’s xz2c which has a unofficial sailfishos port iirc

from a quick search it seems to have MTK Dimensity 7100. i believe it’s not well supported in linux mainline (yet?).
